Horn Group Adds 15 New Clients in the First Half of 2010; Celebrates 19 Years in Business

Horn Group, Inc., a digital communications agency, has added 15 new clients in the first half of 2010 representing $1.8 million in annualized revenue.  With these additions to its client portfolio, Horn Group expects to grow 30% over last year.  The company also celebrated 19 years in business last month.

New clients in Horn Group's San Francisco office include:

  • AmBAR - the American Business Association of Russian-Speaking Professionals that recently organized Silicon Valley's first VC Trip to Russia
  • BitDefender - a top global antivirus software provider
  • Engine Yard - a leading cloud computing platform for Ruby on Rails
  • Marketo - a revenue-focused marketing automation company
  • ServiceSource - a service revenue performance company
  • Splunk - an IT search company
  • Xirrus - high performance WiFi solutions

Some of the new clients in Horn Group's New York office include:

  • Chile IT - a public/private partnership to promote Chilean technologiy companies and the country's IT industry
  • Magnetic - a search data marketplace that enables search re-targeting for advertisers and publishers
  • Spencer Trask - an early stage venture firm focused on communications, information technology, and life sciences sectors
  • SocialShield - Internet safety parenting tools

Agency Launches New Portfolio at www.horngroup.com/portfolio

In May, Horn Group launched a new portfolio on its website that features recent interactive, design and video projects created by its Interactive Services team in the last 12 months.  One notable highlight, the company has produced half a dozen video and Flash demo projects in just the last 30 days - a good indicator that interest in online video is continuing to mount.  

Agency Thought Leadership Events

Horn Group also played central roles in two thought leadership events this Spring. Surprise You're A Media Company!, held in San Francisco on March 30th, was a Horn Group-hosted industry panel focused on the increasing requirement for companies to develop original content. The event was moderated by Sam Whitmore of SWMS and panelists included:

  • Charlene Li, Founder of Altimeter Group
  • John Byrne, Former BussinessWeek.com Editor-In-Chief and Founder of C-Change
  • Karen Wickre, Senior Manager of Global Communications and Public Affairs at Google
  • Don Bulmer, VP of Global Communications at SAP

In New York, the agency sponsored and led media relations efforts for the April 26 VideoSchmooze, a panel discussion with video industry experts and media, focused on the implications of online and mobile video shifting from free, ad-supported models to paid models.
