Horn Group to Launch Dealing with Darwin by Best-Selling Author Geoffrey A. Moore

Monday, July 25, 2005 - New York, NY - Horn Group today announced that the firm has been chosen to launch Geoffrey Moore's forthcoming book, Dealing with Darwin: How Great Companies Innovate at Every Phase of Their Evolution. The new book, which will be published in January 2006, posits that while most companies recognize that innovation is key to competitive differentiation, few actually do it well. Dealing with Darwin develops new mental models and establishes a new vocabulary for focusing on innovation and overcoming inertia, outlining best practices that enterprises can adopt to maximize success in the "survival of the fittest" business climate. This launch continues Horn Group's long-standing relationship with Geoffrey Moore, having introduced all of his best-selling books over the past 10 years, beginning with the "Chasm" series (Crossing the Chasm, Inside the Tornado, The Gorilla Game), and most recently, Living on the Fault Line.

"In the consulting business, publishing a new book is like a launching new product, and Horn Group's proven expertise in that arena has proved invaluable to me," said Moore. "With each book we target a phrase that we hope to make part of the business lexicon, and so far we are batting 1000."

Horn Group's approach to promotion will combine widespread media outreach to business, broadcast, trade, vertical and online outlets to leverage the book's thought provoking content and the author's renowned name. These activities will be integrated with publisher Portfolio's planned marketing and publicity initiatives for Dealing with Darwin.

"We are thrilled to be working with Geoff once again for the launch of his new book. Dealing with Darwin promises to be influential not only to the technology industry but to Fortune 500 companies across many sectors," said Sabrina Horn, Horn Group's president and CEO. "Geoff has been an incredible partner and friend to us for many years, and we're very excited to bring this new book to the media community."
