Sabrina Horn, President
Sabrina Horn has 20 years management and public relations experience working with both start-up and Fortune 1000 technology companies. At Horn Group, Inc., she provides strategic consulting to select clients and guides the firm's operations, business development and long-term vision. Previously, Sabrina held senior management positions at Blanc & Otus and Edelman Public Relations, both in San Francisco. She holds a MS in Public Relations from Boston University and a BA in American Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

Sabrina has authored several research papers including "Public Relations for Emerging Growth Technology Companies," and "Advertising in the People's Republic of China." Sabrina is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and is a frequent speaker at technology and marketing industry conferences. Sabrina was named to the Silicon Valley Hall of Fame in 1997 and received the award for Best Employer in the US by Working Woman in 1999. She was also recognized as one of the PR industry's most successful entrepreneurs by Inside PR magazine and she was recently named to the SIIA Board of Directors. Sabrina enjoys painting and playing with her two daughters.

Shannon Latta, Partner
Shannon Latta has worked in public relations, marketing and journalism for 16 years -- the last 13 years in corporate and agency PR for the technology industry. She has worked with nearly 100 software companies -- both market leaders and start ups -- to set industry agenda, establish thought leadership, build new categories, launch companies and products, and navigate obstacles. Shannon joined Horn Group in 1994 and has helped shaped Horn Group's brand, services and reputation for quality and results. She led the company's San Francisco office for five years -- responsible for client strategy, business development and employee development. With an eye for growth and operational excellence, today she is responsible for executive management, strategic development and agency marketing. She is also a frequent speaker in the international public relations circle.

Shannon's past positions include public relations manager at Ingres/Computer Associates, co-manager of the SF Bar Association's California Minority Counsel Program, contributing writer for various San Francisco magazines, and advertising associate for a national art gallery. Shannon served for four years on the board of BAVC, the largest independent media arts center in the country. She earned degrees in Communications and Music from Mills College, Oakland, Calif., and is an accomplished pianist and photographer.

Dan Katzki, Partner, Chief Financial Officer
Dan Katzki brings over 15 years of financial management experience to Horn Group, Inc. He oversees all activities within the Finance and Operations department of the company.

Prior to joining Horn Group, Katzki was Vice President, Finance & Administration at Decker Communications, Inc., a communications training and consulting company. He also held Controller positions at MacFarms, Inc. and VoiceCom, Inc. and was Assistant Controller at H. Heller & Co.

Dan started his career as an audit, and later a tax, consultant at Touche Ross (currently Deloitte & Touche). Dan is a Certified Public Accountant and is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley. He lives with his wife and three children in Walnut Creek.

Dee Anna McPherson, Principal
Dee Anna McPherson leads Horn Group’s San Francisco office in client service, business development and operations. She is a hands-on manager who has nearly 15 years experience developing and managing public relations programs including corporate image campaigns, product launches, mergers/acquisitions/spin-offs, initial public offerings, media relations, analyst relations and crisis management for start ups and established high-tech companies.

Previously, Dee Anna was the head of PeopleSoft public relations where she oversaw the corporate, product and industries programs and led the public relations efforts surrounding the company's acquisition of J.D. Edwards and Oracle's hostile takeover attempt. Prior to PeopleSoft, Dee Anna was the senior director of worldwide public relations for Vitria, an integration software provider. At Vitria, Dee Anna led the re-positioning and re-launch of the company's flagship product.

Dee Anna's agency experience includes Edelman, AlexanderOgilvy and Golin/Harris. She led the California technology practice for AlexanderOgilvy and managed award-winning programs for Sun and Wells Fargo Online Banking. Dee Anna held several key positions with Edelman in New York, Dallas and Silicon Valley and managed programs for such clients as Agilent, i2, Gartner, META Group, Telera, Alcatel, Ernst & Young, UPS and IBM Global Services. At Golin/Harris, Dee Anna implemented programs for IBM's ISSC and Toshiba America.

Dee Anna has a B.A in communications from Purdue University.

Len Dieterle, Principal
Len Dieterle leads Horn Group's Boston office in client service, business development and operations.

During the past 18 years, Len Dieterle has developed PR programs for and counseled a wide range of clients in multiple technology segments. Len was most recently a senior vice president at Porter Novelli where, for nine years, he led global accounts such as BMC Software, Analog Devices and EMC, as well as smaller accounts such as Coastal Technologies Group (CTGi), Arbor Networks and Telica.

From working closely with companies such as BMC Software and Arbor Networks, Len has significant experience in the security market, specifically in identity management and anomaly detection. Also with BMC, Len personally managed that company's PR initiative for its data management solutions. For CTGi, a provider of business intelligence software for the telecommunications market, Len established the company's industry analyst program and managed its business and trade media relations efforts.

Before joining Porter Novelli, Len was with Crescent Communications in Atlanta where he managed integrated marketing communications programs for companies such as Scientific-Atlanta, Hitachi and ADC Telecommunications.

Len's client-side experience includes three years in the marketing communications department of Bitstream Inc., the world's leading developer of digital font technology and designs. Len has an M.S. degree from Boston University and a B.A. degree from Boston College.

Susan Etlinger, Managing Director, San Francisco
Susan Etlinger is Managing Director of Horn Group’s San Francisco office where her responsibilities span client service and agency operations. Susan has nearly 20 years of experience across a broad spectrum of communications disciplines, with particular expertise in positioning and messaging, media strategy, crisis communications and financial communications. Susan has led dozens of corporate and product programs for companies across a range of industries and is known for her keen understanding of enterprise IT and an ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling language.

Before joining Horn Group, Susan was Senior Vice President at the Daniel J. Edelman group of companies, where she led global programs for pre-revenue to Fortune 500 companies including Samsung Semiconductor, Huawei Technologies, Digeo, Firetide, Tibco Software, Charles Schwab and A.T. Kearney. Prior to Edelman, Susan was Vice President at Blanc and Otus, where she worked with a range of Internet start-up companies, and at The Weber Group, where she led programs for Micron Electronics and Hitachi Data Systems, among others.

Susan’s prior corporate experience includes a marketing role at KPMG and multiple communications roles at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc, where she managed the communications function for Schwab’s information technology division.

Susan is a published translator and has a B.A in Rhetoric from the University of California at Berkeley.
